How it works

LIAISON® MeMed BV® discriminates bacterial and viral infections by leveraging an immune-based protein signature test that measures and computationally integrates the levels of three host-proteins (TRAIL, IP-10 and CRP) with a proprietary, machine-learning algorithm and assigns a single qualitative score indicating the likelihood of a bacterial or viral infection and appropriateness of antibiotic use.
